“Brass Atelier De Wilde” was founded in 1999 by Roland de Wilde. In our store in IJsselmuiden we sell new and used musical instruments and related accessories. In our repair workshop, we repair and maintain wind instruments. It is also possible to have historical wind instruments built by Roland.
Roland de Wilde
Roland is a graduate tuba player at the conservatory and has been a freelance bass tuba player with various orchestras at home and abroad for 15 years. For years he conducted several orchestras and taught music lessons to children and adults. During his studies at the conservatory, he served an internship with historical instrument builder Geert Jan van der Heide in Putten. This is where his interest in repairing and building began. In 2007, in addition to conducting and teaching, he decided to pick up his repair skills and began repairing instruments. Back then, from a barn in IJsselmuiden.
The customer base grew and new instruments were increasingly in demand. Meanwhile, we sell in our store renowned brands such as Besson, B&S, Buffet Crampon, Courtois, Melton, H. Hoyer, Scherzer, Yamaha, Miraphone, Bach, Conn, Willson, etc.
Roland’s ideal was to one day create a space with his great passion: the tuba. It did! There is now a constant stock of more than 80 tubas, both used and new. In addition to tubas, there is a large inventory of about 300 wind instruments, including euphonium, trombone, trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, saxophone, clarinet and flute; both new and used.
With these years of knowledge and experience as a musician and repairman, you will receive excellent advice when purchasing a suitable instrument.
